Problem: Concrete Front Porch has fallen about an inch where it touches the house.

Evaluation: Porch is setting on a short wall foundation on the outer edge. Porch was not tied to foundation via steel reinforcement bar nor was it set on top of the foundation edge. Backfill from the foundation construction has settled from its own weight. This is causing the porch to sag from its own weight.

Repair Performed:

Strategically drilled small holes through surface of the porch.
Slurry viscosity was determined by size of the void to achieve optimum flow and lifting footprints.
Slurry was injected into the void and water runoff was corrected as the concrete was lifted back to its original position.

Further recommendations to this customer include the following:

Correct gutter runoff on both ends of the porch
Apply a toolable concrete caulk at the door threshold
